THE APPROACH

See the reasoning—not just the result.

VisionSpoke is designed to make the recommendation understandable and keep compensation separate from the decision.

1. Start with the shopper

The shopper first chooses a retailer. Each search and recommendation compares products from that retailer only. The decision then follows the person’s real-life needs: budget, room, intended use, preferences and the compromises they are willing to accept.

2. Explain how results are generated

The current application uses deterministic decision rules rather than generative AI. A shopper’s request, answers and verified listing evidence are evaluated against product-specific criteria. Individual results are not manually selected or ranked by compensation.

3. Keep facts separate from judgment

Product titles, prices, condition, shipping, returns and seller information must come from authorized merchant data. VisionSpoke's role is to interpret those facts, compare fit and explain the tradeoffs—not invent listing details.

4. Reduce the decision to three useful roles

SAVE identifies a credible lower-cost alternative. PICK is the strongest overall fit. UPGRADE explains what spending more actually buys. When the listing evidence is too thin for a confident recommendation, VisionSpoke labels the result “Best available · Low data” instead of presenting certainty it has not earned.

5. Keep compensation out of the ranking

A commission can support VisionSpoke, but it cannot cause a product to become the PICK. The recommendation is made first. Eligible buying links are added afterward and disclosed beside the link.

6. Use lawful, reviewable product data

VisionSpoke will use official APIs, licensed feeds or other authorized sources. We do not plan to scrape retailer websites or use merchant information outside the permissions granted by the provider.
